Since Whole Heart opened our doors five years ago, we have fought hard to provide advanced, integrative, and compassionate medical care, with a goal of both extending lifespan and improving quality of life for our patients. The system is set up to focus more on SICKcare than HEALTHcare, so preventative and personalized medical care are not properly reimbursed. We tried, but it is just not sustainable.
However, Whole Heart Family Medicine is not giving up or even willing to compromise the level of care we offer. We seek to offer you MORE not less, more time, more services, and reach new goals together. So, we are transitioning to a hybrid insurance/membership model and want to welcome YOU!
At Whole Heart, we commit to remaining an office that challenges the status quo in medical care by thinking outside the box and staying on the forefront of new information so we can always provide you with the best possible testing and treatments available. This new hybrid model allows us to truly be a patient-first primary care office, recapturing the old days of medicine when providers knew their patients and medical histories and catered to THEM rather than an insurance company.

Whole Heart Family Medicine has 4,000 active patients and 700 on the waiting list, but we are currently only able to welcome 200 members. So please do not delay in reaching out to us because we will offer these on a first-come first-serve basis! We will continue to file insurance as usual; additionally, each member will pay a monthly fee.
Starting January 2025, membership will be REQUIRED to be seen as a patient at Whole Heart, but memberships are available NOW!

At Whole Heart Family Medicine, we accept most insurances. Your membership fee pays for preventive care medical services that insurance usually doesn’t cover (such as advanced diagnostic testing and screenings, health coaching classes, etc.). We will continue to bill your insurance and charge copays, co-insurances and deductibles as we currently do for other medical services like sick visits.

ALL prior authorizations for medicine or in-office testing will be initiated promptly. We commit to advocating for the best possible medications and tests available and utilizing insurance coverage for these whenever possible.

The registration fee will be waived for all existing patients at Whole Heart Family Medicine who sign up in 2024. However, if a patient chooses to cancel their membership, they will be required to pay the registration fee if they want to re-enroll (if there are spots still available).
Insurance will be filed for all patients as usual, so copays, coinsurances, and deductibles still apply. This allows us to keep the membership fees more affordable while working with your insurance company to maximize your benefits. The membership fee covers the components of our comprehensive testing and medical care which are not traditionally covered by insurance.

You will be given immediate access to all the member benefits the month you sign up. You will be automatically billed on the first day of the following month, and then monthly thereafter, to a card on file. After the first year, you may choose to cancel with 60 days' written notice; otherwise, your membership will continue to renew monthly.
Spouse or child (over 12 years old and who is a dependent) will be given a discount of $25 off a month.

Some of you may be concerned about the additional costs – after paying so much for your insurance, why would you have to pay more? We understand how you feel – we have felt the same frustration with the current insurance model! It’s a profit-driven system that does not prioritize the high level of care you need and deserve to truly thrive. However, other offices who have transitioned to this model have found it to be the best decision for both the practice and the patients.
However, we do not view this membership as an expense, but rather as an investment – one that will continue to give you dividends for years to come! As your coach and medical team, we at Whole Heart Family Medicine look forward to partnering with you in your journey to vitality and wellness!
