Since Whole Heart opened our doors five years ago, we have fought hard to provide advanced, integrative, and compassionate medical care, with a goal of both extending lifespan and improving quality of life for our patients. The system is set up to focus more on SICKcare than HEALTHcare, so preventative and personalized medical care are not properly reimbursed. We tried, but it is just not sustainable.
However, Whole Heart Family Medicine is not willing to compromise the level of care we offer. We seek to offer you MORE not less, more time, more services, and to reach new goals together. So, we have transitioned to a hybrid insurance/membership model and want to welcome YOU to join us!
At Whole Heart, we commit to remaining an office that challenges the status quo in medical care by thinking outside the box and staying on the forefront of new information so we can always provide you with the best possible testing and treatments available. The hybrid model allows us to truly be a patient-first primary care office, recapturing the old days of medicine when providers knew their patients and medical histories and catered to THEM rather than an insurance company.

So that we can serve our patients well, we have limited the number of memberships available, so please do not delay in reaching out to us if you are interested in becoming a patient! We will continue to file insurance as usual; additionally, each member will pay a monthly fee.
Your membership fee pays for preventive medical services that insurance does not typically cover, such as interpretation of advanced testing, personalized dietary and exercise plans, health coaching classes, body composition scans, and more! We accept most insurances and will continue to bill your insurance and charge copays, co-insurances and deductibles as we currently do for other medical services like office/sick visits (and any other in-office testing that is covered).

There is a one-time $295 non-refundable registration fee for new members. However, if a patient chooses to cancel their membership, they will be required to pay the registration fee again if they want to later re-enroll.
Insurance will be filed for all patients as usual, so copays, coinsurances, and deductibles still apply. This allows us to keep the membership fees more affordable while working with your insurance company to maximize your benefits. The membership fee covers the components of our comprehensive testing and medical care which are not traditionally covered by insurance.

You will be given immediate access to all the member benefits the month you sign up. You will be automatically billed on the first day of the following month, and then monthly thereafter, to a card on file. After the first year, you may choose to cancel with 60 days' written notice; otherwise, your membership will continue to renew monthly.
Spouse or child (over 12 years old and who is a dependent) will be given a discount of $25 off a month.

Some of you may be concerned about the additional costs – after paying so much for your insurance, why would you have to pay more? We understand how you feel – we have felt the same frustration with the current insurance model! It’s a profit-driven system that does not prioritize the high level of care you need and deserve to truly thrive. However, other offices who have transitioned to this model have found it to be the best decision for both the practice and the patients.
However, we do not view this membership as an expense, but rather as an investment – one that will continue to give you dividends for years to come! As your coach and medical team, we at Whole Heart Family Medicine look forward to partnering with you ON your journey to vitality and wellness!
